SpaceCarz - Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to SpaceCarz, a taxi service providing transportation solutions. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of our services. By booking, using, or accessing any of our services, you agree to comply with these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding with our service.
2. Definitions
Company: Refers to SpaceCarz.
Service: Refers to the taxi transportation services provided by SpaceCarz.
Customer/Passenger/Rider: Refers to any person using the SpaceCarz services.
Driver: Refers to an individual employed or contracted by SpaceCarz to provide the transportation service.
3. Service Availability
SpaceCarz provides transportation services within designated areas. The availability of vehicles may vary based on demand, time of day, weather, traffic, or other unforeseen conditions. SpaceCarz does not guarantee the availability of taxis at all times.
4. Booking
Booking Process: Customers can book our services via mobile app, or website. Confirmation of booking will be provided with details of the driver and vehicle.
Immediate and Pre-Bookings: Customers may book taxis immediately or schedule rides in advance.
Cancellation: Customers may cancel their booking via the app or phone. Cancellation fees may apply based on the timing of the cancellation (see section 7).
No Phone System Bookings Advance bookings can be made at any time, subject to availability and not guaranteed. No phone bookings accepted.
5. Fares and Payments
Fare Structure: Fares are calculated based on distance, time, and other factors such as tolls or surcharges. An estimated fare will be provided at the time of booking.
Payment Methods: payments can be made via credit/debit cards, and mobile payments. Payment details must be provided at the time of booking. We do not accept cash payment.
Payment Authorization: By selecting a payment method, you authorize SpaceCarz to charge the full amount of the fare, including any additional fees (see Section 7).
6. Passenger Responsibilities
Conduct: Passengers are expected to behave in a respectful and orderly manner. Abuse, aggression, or inappropriate behaviour towards drivers or other passengers will not be tolerated and may result in denial of service.
Damage and Cleanliness: Passengers will be held responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle, whether intentional or accidental. A cleaning fee of £80 may apply if the vehicle is left in an excessively dirty state.
Safety: Passengers must adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing seat belts. SpaceCarz reserves the right to refuse service to any passenger not adhering to safety protocols.
7. fees
Waiting Time Charges: A waiting time fee may apply if the driver has to wait for the passenger beyond a reasonable period (more than 2 minutes of arriving at the pick up location).
Cancellation Fees: If a ride request has been cancelled by the passenger 3 minutes after a driver has accepted the request, SpaceCarz reserves the right to charge a fixed cancellation fee of £4.00.
Cleaning Fees: If a passenger causes any spillage, dirt, or any other mess that requires special cleaning, a cleaning fee of up to £80 may be charged.
Tolls and Surcharges: Any additional tolls, taxes, or surcharges will be added to the total fare.
8. Driver Responsibilities
Driver Conduct: All drivers will professionally conduct themselves, adhering to traffic laws and ensuring the passenger’s safety.
Route: Drivers will take the most efficient route unless instructed otherwise by the passenger.
Vehicle Condition: Drivers will ensure that their vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and safe for passenger use.
Driver Status Spacecarz drivers are self-employed and reserve the right to accept, reject, or cancel requests at any time. Therefore, Spacecarz is not liable for any inconvenience or loss this may cause.
9. Limitation of Liability
SpaceCarz is not liable for:
Delays due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances.
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.
Loss of personal items left in the vehicle. However, we will assist in recovering lost items to the best of our ability.
Spacecarz drivers are self-employed and have the rights to accept/reject or cancel a ride at anytime, therefore spacecarz is not liable for any loss or inconvenience it may cause.
10. Force Majeure
SpaceCarz is not responsible for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, accidents, or governmental actions.
11. Privacy Policy
SpaceCarz respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your data. Information collected during booking or while using our services will be used only to provide transportation services and improve user experience. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy on our website.
12. Termination of Service
SpaceCarz reserves the right to terminate or refuse service to any customer who violates these Terms or engages in illegal or disruptive behaviour. Account Deletion Spacecarz reserves the right to delete drivers' or passengers' accounts at any time.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or dispute arising from the use of SpaceCarz services shall be resolved in the courts of the United Kingdom.
14. Changes to Terms and Conditions
SpaceCarz reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Customers will be notified of changes through the SpaceCarz app or website. Continued use of the services after changes is accepted by the revised Terms.
Referrals and Promotions
All promotions and referral schemes offered by Spacecarz are subject to change or termination at any time without prior notice.
